A new BPM solution for Magna FORMEX in Mexico
Magna International is a leading global supplier of technologically advanced automotive systems, assemblies, modules, and components. Magna designs, develops and manufactures automotive systems, assemblies, modules, and components, and engineers and assembles complete vehicles, primarily for sale to original equipment manufacturers (“OEMs”) of cars and light trucks in North America, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
The FORMEX facility in Ramos Arizpe (MX) is one of Magna’s larger assembly providers in Mexico catering its production services to principal clients such as GM, Ford and Chrysler.
Due to FORMEX’s need to provide and adhere to quality and environmental standards (e.g. ISO 9001:2000; ISO TS 16949, ISO 14001), the company implemented already in 2008 LINTRA’s integrated Share Point based Business Process and Quality Management System (QUAM). With QUAM, FORMEX can stay on top of its compliance issues and also streamline its business process execution, assure product quality and efficiency in production and administration. FORMEX is listed on the U.S. stock exchange and utilizes QUAM also to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
In 2009 LINTRA upgraded FORMEX with its powerful and enhanced QUAM 2.0 version. The new version offers additional functions and features, addresses the need for faster data transfer, and provides business process translation capabilities.
