The company was founded in 1928 in Paderborn by Walter Freund as a workshop for butchers` tools . Meanwhile, the business developed to a globally accepted expert for butchers`and fractionising technology, and is administered by Robert Freund as managing director in the third generation.

More than 80% of the entire product range is exported to more than 60 countries worldwide, where FREUND`s technology enjoys an excellent reputation due to high efficiency, very high quality standards and prompt and reliable services.
